PocketVenice Assets is an optional handheld extension of the Capital Asset software which streamlines gathering and managing asset data, including complete asset verification. PocketVenice expedites date gathering via barcode scanners and keypads by taking full advantage of proven PocketPC technology and .XML data sharing.

PocketVenice supports a wide range of handheld devices, including the Symbol 8800 series and other low cost, office-grade handhelds. Our proprietary process accelerates data synchronization between the handheld and the Venice database by transmitting only new and changed data.

With PocketVenice, mobile users can store information on the handheld scanner for real-time queries against a local subset of the Venice database and display the results on the handheld. When cradled, PocketVenice can also run real-time requests against the central database.

  • Verify and update data fields including tag number, asset description, district location code, room location, manufacturer’s serial number, model asset custodian, asset condition.
  • Identify new or found assets at current location.
  • Initiate asset transfer to different location/custodian.
  • Provides up-to-date information to support better decision making.
  • Uses encrypted data transfer, allowing secure transfer of data from outside the firewall.
  • Store multiple user profiles on a single device so that each user has the appropriate capabilities based on their login.
